Pentagon Mysteries: Part of the story is missing"At 9:37," according to the 9/11 Commission Report (p. 314), "the west wall of the Pentagon was hit by hijacked American Airlines Flight 77, a Boeing 757." The peer-reviewed article, "Thinking about 'conspiracy theories' 9/11 and JFK" by James H. Fetzer, Ph.D points out, photos taken prior to the collapse of the Pentagon's upper floors supply evidence that, whatever hit the Pentagon, it cannot possibly have been a Boeing 757.44 The plane was 155' long, with a wing span of 125' and stood 36' high with its wheels retracted. The initial point of impact (prior to the collapse of the floors above) was only about 10' high and 16-17' wide, about the size of the double-doors on a mansion. A meticulous engineering study with careful measurements has been conducted that offers powerful evidence that the official story cannot possibly be correct. The damage done appears to have been inflicted by a smaller aircraft, such as an F-16, or by the impact of a cruise missile, as an alternative possibility. Eye witnesses did report seeing an airplane near the seen. James R. Cissell, an eyewitness to the object that struck the Pentagon, told a Cincinnati Post reporter, I was about four cars back from where the plane crossed over the highway. That it happened so quickly I didn't even see what airline it was from. However, I was so close to the plane when it went past that had it been sitting on a runway, I could have seen the faces of passengers peering out. Oddly enough, the Post misquoted him, including in both the body and title of the article the quote, "I saw the faces of some of the passengers on board," something Cissell never said. That article remains online with incorrect quotes of Cissell’s interview, even though he contacted them multiple times asking them to fix it. Eyewitnesses could not see the details of an object moving that quickly. Witnesses did say that it was an airplane that crossed the highway. They could not see what airline and certainly couldn’t see the passengers faces. Could they say for sure what type of plane it was? Cissell said it was "at least as big as a 727 maybe bigger." In the documentary "One Nation Under Siege," retired Major General Albert Stubblebine, who used to be in charge of Imagery Interpretation for Scientific and Technical Intelligence, says, I measured pieces of Soviet equipment from photographs. I look at the hole in the Pentagon and I look at the size of an airplane that was supposed to have hit the Pentagon. The plane does not fit in that hole. So what did hit the Pentagon? What hit it? Where is it? What's going on? If a 727 or larger aircraft crossed the highway that day, it certainly did not hit the Pentagon. Another mysterious part of the Pentagon attack is the C-Ring exit hole, discussed by mechanical engineer Michael Meyer in his article "Pentagon C-Ring Exit Hole Mystery." The hole, seen here, is not consistent with what a Boeing 757 could have created. The official theories do little to explain how this hole could have occurred. One is that the nose cone of the aircraft caused it, but that part of the aircraft is not present beyond this point. A "circle of energy" theory presented by Purdue University suggested that "fuel, airplane material, and momentum from the aircraft created this circular cut out by continuing into the building after the plane had been destroyed." This theory does not hold up because the materials needed were spread throughout the plane, including the wings, it has never happened before, there were supports intact between the impact and the exit hole (which also discredits the nose cone theory), and such an impact "would have knocked the wall down, or caved it in due to the mesh and rebar reinforcement, not created a clean cut hole." The National Geographic Channel program "Seconds to Disaster" suggested a shock wave from the crash caused the hole, but a shock wave traveling through air would not be able to create such a hole, and "any forces impacting the wall from shock waves would be spread over some area of the wall." Once again this is also a phenomenon that has never historically occurred. Popular Mechanics supports the ASCE’s conclusion that the "12 ft. wide" whole "was made by the jet’s landing gear." Is it possible for that to happen with the landing gear up? The landing gear obviously could not have possibly been down when the plane it. Also, with the strength a perfect hole through that wall, it would make sense that the gear remain fairly intact, yet it is not seen in the pictures and there were no plane pieces that large removed from the scene. So what did create the C-ring exit hole? A photo in the Raytheon information sheet on the TOW Bunker Buster looks strikingly similar to the Pentagon C-Ring Exit Hole. This is just some of the evidence from eye witness accounts and the crash site that does not add up to the story of a hijacked Boeing 757 crashing into the Pentagon. There is more to this story. While it is difficult to say exactly what happened at the Pentagon, it is obvious that there is more to it than a hijacked airliner hitting the building, and the government is not being honest about it. |
